HOW HAVE YOUR SERVICES CHANGED DUE TO COVID-19?

I have relaxed my rescheduling policy so that there are no longer fees to reschedule due to COVID as long as you reschedule to a date within a year of your original date. I have also lowered my nonrefundable retainers on all sessions and weddings.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS AND WHEN DO THEY TAKE PLACE?

Session time varies depending on the option you chose, but they range from 30 minutes (mini portraits) to 2 hours (adventure couples sessions). I try to schedule all my sessions to be right around an hour before the sunsets, AKA "golden hour." This is when the light is absolutely stunning and will make your photos that much better!

 

CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE TO FIT MY NEEDS?

Absolutely! The main reason I created packages is for those couples who feel that my premade packages fit their needs and want an easy selection and decision process. But I am a firm believer that every wedding is unique and therefore every wedding photo package should be unique.

I get to know you, your budget, your dreams, and the carefully planned out details that you've made before sending a proposal your way.​

You also don't have to make any final decisions until three months before your wedding day. A flat retainer is due when you book, but if you're booking a year in advance, it can be hard to know exactly what you want.

 

WHAT DO TRAVEL FEES LOOK LIKE?

I am based in Bellingham, and travel fees kick in at 60 miles from there. I charge $0.75 per mile up to 3 hours outside of town. Additional charges like ferry fees, bridge tolls, etc. may apply. Once the drive hits 3 hours, overnight fees apply (including travel, lodging, and food stipend). This is for a few reasons - traveling over 3 hours after working an 8+ hour drive is exhausting and I want to be able to deliver review galleries in a timely manner!

HOW MUCH OF A DEPOSIT DO YOU REQUIRE? WHEN IS IT DUE?

A retainer payment is due when you book me, as well as a signed contract. For weddings, that amount is currently $500 (lowered due to COVID) and for sessions, it is $150. The rest of your payment is due 3 weeks before your wedding or 24 hours before your session.

DO YOU CARRY BACKUP EQUIPMENT?

Absolutely! I shoot on two cameras with multiple lenses, all of your photos are shot on two different cards and are immediately backed up in three locations after our time together. Keeping your photos safe is my TOP priority.

DO I GET RIGHTS TO MY IMAGES?

You are more than welcome to download, print and share images from your personal gallery! However, the rights to the images to publish and submit photos for publication remains with me, the photographer.​

 

CAN I HAVE ACCESS TO THE RAW IMAGES?

In short, nope! I don't send RAW files because they are unfinished work! Of course, a huge part of what I do is the actual shooting of a session/wedding, but another huge part is the editing. Photos without my edits and/or with someone else's edits aren't entirely my work anymore and I only deliver finished products! I promise the only photos I cut out of final galleries are duplicates, the out of focus photos or photos where people are blinking, so you'll get plenty of photos from our time together. And you can download them at their full size and resolution from the galleries that I send you.

WHEN DO I GET TO SEE MY PHOTOS?

For weddings, you get over 25 photos straight to your email within 12 hours of the end of the wedding! The final gallery will be in your inbox in 4-6 weeks. For sessions, you'll get sneak previews texted to you within a day. And your full gallery will be yours within 3 weeks.
